EVALUATE YOUR YEAR

EVALUATE YOUR YEAR.

GO INTO 2019 A BIGGER, BETTER, SMARTER, STRONGER YOU.

This year will end in few days; everybody is ready for New Year resolution and the entire shenanigan that comes with it. Not that I am against New Year resolution. But a resolution that you didn’t keep and a resolution that didn’t change your 2018 is that one a resolution? Before you rolled your eyes, got miffed and called me a spoilsport, I want you to know first I am not going to pad words for you like a fake bum on this page. I am going to tell you the truth. If you want to be successful, you must be brave with the truth, knowing it and accepting it. When it is convenient and when it is not convenient. One of the most important aspects of growth is your ability to constantly evaluate yourself. Before going into the New Year, you have to reevaluate your year. Did you achieve your dreams? Are you where you plan you would be at the beginning of this year?

Yes? No?

If ‘no’ what went wrong. What were the obstacles? What are the solutions to the obstacles? Where did your plans fell off the radar?

Maybe you didn’t achieve your dreams this year, no one would completely fault you on that, but if you didn’t understand why, then that one is on you. You cannot end this year without being a better person than you started and part of that growth is to know what and why you didn’t achieve all that you set out to achieve this year. What were the mistakes you made? What were the flaws and weakness that hindered you from living your best and doing your best and achieving your dreams in 2018 (you can pick a piece of paper and write them down) You have to find answers to those questions and find solution to those problems until you do, you aren’t ready for 2019 yet and there is nothing as diminishing as lack of preparation.

Even if you did not achieve your plans for this year, if you know what went wrong, if you know why you made the mistakes you made, if you know what to do to correct those mistakes and if you are ready to do them then you have grown abound this year and a bigger better, smarter, stronger, you will be ready to face 2019. As I used to say on this page ONE DAY YOU WILL BE READY. 2019 will be the year you are finally ready. You will be so ready that no mistakes, no failure would stop you from achieving your goals and your dreams.

Examples of some of the context you can use to evaluate yourself is the 2/10 ratio (these are parts of the stuff we talked about in 2018) statistically, on the average, only 2 out of 10 ideas are successful. So how many ideas did you execute this year?

If you want to have one successful ideal in a year you should at least executive five innovative ideas. If you want to have two successful ideas in a year you should at least execute ten innovative ideas. You think that is two much? Well, ask successful people and they will tell you it is just the beginning.

The higher your decision rates on every idea the higher your chances of success. So how many decisions did you make? Did you just make one decision to execute your plan and it didn’t work and you gave up. Or you tried different and several strategies.

To increase your odd of success, you must increase the number of decisions you make.

More decision= success.

Less decision=failure.

This are some of the standard you can used to measure yourself to see if you are getting enough done to achieve the success you desire.

First week of 2019 I am going to post a comprehensive article on some of the statistics you need to know as an entrepreneur and how you can use that to constantly evaluate yourself throughout 2019 to know if you are performing at your best. Let’s get it right this 2019. No more excuses.
